What Am I Doing?
Working with a partner, you will bring back two historical figures inside your own magic cupboard. You will create the cupboard out of a cardboard box, a shoebox, or anything else you can think of. Design it any way you want, but remember to use your imagination! Inside your cupboard, you will put your historical figures which can be made from marshmallows and toothpicks, clay, and other materials you can think of.
You and your partner must research your historical figures and gain some information about who they were, where and when they were born, and why they are important. Then, put your feet in Omri and Patrick’s shoes to write a short story about them coming back to life. Be sure to give them a conflict that must be resolved by the end of your story. Write about their and your adventures!
You will share your work with the class! Now get those creative juices flowing!
